Kanye West Just Doesn’t Learn: Stuns Taylor Swift at the VMAs

Facebook has certainly proved effective at spreading news quickly.

For those of you who don’t know, The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are currently taking place (10:25 on September 13th) and Taylor Swift was recently rewarded with the MoonMan for the Best Female Video.  During her seemingly heartfelt acceptance speech, Kanye West  decides to, for the lack of a better term, “act a fool” and rip the microphone right out of Taylor’s hands followed by lashing out, “Ms. Swift, I’m happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos ever made!”  The girl that wears T-shirts, rather than short skirts, had no idea what to say, and rightfully so.

I really thought Kanye West would have learned to act normally, after (number one) publicly stating on national television, “George Bush hates black people,” and (number two) being laughed at by millions of South Park fans nationwide.  Whether Kanye West was right or not doesn’t really matter, whether he makes great music or not doesn’t really matter, because it comes down to the lone fact that Kanye West still hasn’t learned how to present himself in public.

Jay-Z, please tell your superstar producer that even though every beat on The Blueprint 3 may be unbelievable, he needs to understand that in order to become as beloved as you, he can’t walk around believing he’s the only artist in the world that matters.  I know his shutter shades block out flashing lights, but they may have more difficulty blocking out public defamation tomorrow.
